Your Journey to Healing Begins Here

Master-Level Mental Health IOP for Adults Traveling from Addison, TX

At Lucent Recovery and Wellness, we built something different. We’re a clinician-owned, master’s-level Mental Health Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) based in Austin, and we proudly serve adults who travel from Addison and the wider Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex to access a level of care they can’t find closer to home.

WHY ADDISON RESIDENTS CHOOSE LUCENT

Dallas has no shortage of mental health programs. What it often lacks is the kind of individualized, relationship-centered care that high-functioning adults actually need. Large hospital systems and franchise treatment networks serve a purpose, but they’re not designed for people who want to be known by name, not case number.

Addison packs a remarkable amount into thirteen square miles. Corporate headquarters, hundreds of restaurants, and a workforce that mostly lives somewhere else and drives in. That density has a side effect we hear about often: it’s hard to get any real distance from your professional life when your gym, your dinner, and your therapist’s office all sit within a mile of your employer’s front door. Several of our Addison clients came to us specifically because they wanted care that wasn’t happening inside the same few blocks as the rest of their week.

For those making the trip from Addison, we also offer transitional housing in Austin so you can immerse yourself in the program without worrying about logistics.

WHAT IS A MENTAL HEALTH IOP?

An Intensive Outpatient Program sits between weekly individual therapy and full-time residential care. It’s designed for adults who need more structured support than a single weekly session can provide, but who don’t require 24-hour inpatient monitoring.

Our IOP typically runs 8 to 12 weeks, with sessions several days per week. You’ll leave each day and return to your housing, your family, or your regular responsibilities. That flexibility is one of the things our Addison clients value most.

Who benefits most from IOP?

If you’re managing a mental health condition that’s affecting your relationships, your work, or your ability to function day to day, and you’re ready to do real work on it with consistent clinical support, IOP is likely the right level of care.

WHY CHOOSE LUCENT OVER ADDISON-AREA PROGRAMS

We’re not going to tell you that every program near Addison is wrong for you. What we will say is that Lucent offers something specific that many DFW-area programs don’t:

CLINICIAN-OWNED

We’re not a hospital network or a multi-state franchise. Every decision about how we run our program comes from the clinicians who actually do the work.

ALL MASTER'S-LEVEL CLINICIANS

This isn’t just a marketing phrase for us. Every therapist you work with holds a master’s degree in a mental health discipline.

TRULY PERSONALIZED

Our assessments are comprehensive. Your treatment plan is built for you, revisited regularly, and adjusted as you grow.

TRANSITIONAL HOUSING OPTION

For Addison clients, this changes everything. You can fully immerse in treatment without commuting or navigating a city alone.

HOLISTIC AND EXPERIENTIAL

No other program in the region pairs DBT and trauma therapy with mountain biking and outdoor programming. We believe the body and the environment are part of the healing process.

Frequently Asked Questions

How long is the IOP program?

Most clients attend for 8 to 12 weeks, depending on their clinical needs and progress.

Can I keep working or going to school while in the program?

Yes. Our flexible scheduling is designed to accommodate your professional and personal responsibilities.

Do I need a referral to enroll?

No referral is needed. You can contact us directly for a confidential assessment.

Is the program covered by insurance?

Lucent Recovery accepts most major insurance plans. Our team will verify your coverage and walk you through the process before you start.

What makes Lucent different from Addison-area IOP programs?

Our master’s-level-only clinical team, small program size, holistic and experiential programming, LGBTQIA+ affirming care, and transitional housing for traveling clients set us apart from the larger hospital-based and franchise programs across North Dallas and Addison.

What happens after IOP?

After completing our IOP, many clients continue into our step-down transitional services or move to ongoing individual counseling or coaching with their clinician.

How do most Addison clients get to Austin?

Most drive. It’s roughly a three hour trip down I-35 or the tollway to 130. Some fly out of Love Field, which is about fifteen minutes from Addison and has frequent short flights to Austin. If you’re staying in our transitional housing, you only make that trip at the start and end of your program rather than every week.

I work in Addison and my whole professional network is here. Will anyone find out I'm in treatment?

We understand why that matters in a business district this concentrated. Your participation is protected health information and we don’t disclose it to employers, colleagues, or anyone else without your written authorization. Being two hundred miles away adds a practical layer of separation that many of our clients from dense corporate corridors tell us made the decision easier.

Can I keep managing a team remotely while I'm in the program?

Some clients do, and some find that stepping back is the point. Our programming runs several days a week and leaves real time around it, so limited remote work is possible. During your assessment we’ll talk honestly about whether staying plugged in will support your treatment or compete with it.
