RECOVERY COACHING IN AUSTIN, TX

WHAT IS A RECOVERY COACH?

Recovery coaches provide strength based, non-clinical support to individuals in mental health and addiction recovery. Coaches assist clients as they begin a new life in recovery by modeling a healthy lifestyle and providing guidance, encouragement, and accountability. Although this process looks different for everyone, recovery coaches often help clients avoid common pitfalls that could lead to relapse, develop new skills, and work towards their individual goals.

Our coaches work part time with clients anywhere from 4 to 20 hours a week and typically engage with them outside of an office setting as they establish an independent life in the Austin, TX area.

BENEFITS OF WORKING WITH A RECOVERY COACH

Working with a Recovery Coach offers numerous benefits. A coach provides personalized support and guidance, helping clients navigate the complexities of recovery with a tailored approach. They empower clients to set and achieve personal goals, fostering independence and self-confidence

SUPPORTING YOUR RECOVERY JOURNEY

Building on your strengths and abilities

Rather than focusing on the root cause of mental health and substance use disorders, coaching turns to the future and your unique strengths and abilities.

Our recovery coaches help you explore your strengths in various settings, from the workplace to recreational activities. This approach is designed to empower our clients to take control of their own recovery journey and build the skills and confidence they need to achieve lasting success.

Developing new skills and solving problems

We can all use a little help at times, and early recovery is no exception. Our coaches regularly help clients with new skills like resume building and creating budgets as well as solving common problems in early recovery like replacing government IDs, repairing damaged credit, and resolving legal issues.

Whatever your specific situation entails, our staff understands that early recovery can be overwhelming and is here to help you work through your challenges one step at a time.

Holding you accountable to your goals and ambitions

They say telling your goals to someone is the best way to stay accountable and achieve them – and we couldn’t agree more.

Do you want to improve your physical health? Have you always dreamed of going to college? Would you like to start visiting a therapist? No matter the ambition, your sober coach is determined to ensure it becomes a reality.

Navigating difficult (and perhaps triggering) situations

Substance abuse recovery, especially early on, can involve social situations you don’t know how to approach in a healthy, sober way.

There may be an upcoming family gathering causing you stress, as you know people will want to ask questions. You may be eager to return to your job but worry about the parties. Whatever it is, you can turn to your sober coach for guidance and support.

Exploring new interests, passions, and hobbies

Being in recovery doesn’t mean you’re doomed to a boring life. In fact, it’s a great opportunity to connect with old interests and explore new ones as well.

Our coaching staff is passionate about supporting clients in this process and we offer multiple activities and outings on a weekly basis. We also have a variety of equipment available for client use ranging from a full blown creative studio to top of the line mountain bikes.
